It's coming to something when thieves, after a bout of fisty cuffs, decide to phone for the assistance of the Guardia Civil!

It’s true. The police ended up arresting four individuals between the ages of 31 and 51 after attending to a call out by one of their number.

This took place last weekend in the Olinda trading estate in Pulianas.

The police on arrival found two men who showed all signs of having been involved in a fist fight.  So, the officers asked them what had happened and one of them explained that they’d gone there to steal diesel oil, which they had not long before achieved with the help of two other men.

However, a dispute broke out about who gets what and it turned nasty, which was when one of the original two phoned for the police.

The officers put the two men in the patrol car and took them to where the theft had taken place and when they arrived, there were the other two culprits, loaded with their booty and armed with the tools required for the job.

Logically, the Guardia Civil arrested all four of them and took them to the police station to be formerly charged.
