Thanks to a search warrant issued by a judge in Granada, police uncovered a printing press and a batch of forged 5-euro notes.

Although they were fake, police forgery experts considered them convincing enough to be passed off to the unwary.

The arrested suspect could face a stiff sentence of ten years’ imprisonment, according the Provincial Public Prosecutor.

This was not a recent event though, as the arrest took place in October 2019 but it is now reaching trial in the Granada law courts.
