Officers belonging to the Policía Nacional returned a riñonera (bum bag) containing over 2,000 euros to its owner - he was impressed.
The item used by some men for all the clutter that you can get in your pockets had been left in the public toilets in Granada bus station. Inside was 2,338 euros and personal documentation.
A user had come across it and handed it to a security guard in the station, who in turn handed it over to the the Policía Nacional officers from the Brigada Móvil whose beat includes the bus station.
The officer, checking the content found a Moroccan passport and other personal documents, so they could quicly identify the owner; a middle-aged Moroccan gentleman. He was soon reunited with his bum bag because he had gone round to the police station to report its loss.
Editorial comment: the plague of pickpockets that ‘work’ the bus station must have wept seas of tears when they learnt what had been left, unattended, in a cubicle of a public toilet, bless their cotton socks.
