A man decided to fire off his shotgun at the facade of the Maracena Policía Local police station last weekend.
This happened on Sunday the 3rd of this month when the 45-year-old man returned (after having had an argument with the Chief of Police) with a 12-bore shotgun. He fired it at the facade and made a mess of an awning but nobody was hurt.
He was immediately arrested and brought before a magistrate who released him without bail pending trial. He also has a restraining order against him, forbidding him from approaching the Chief of Police.
Apparently, the gentleman with the shotgun and the grudge is known for his “erratic behaviour,” which could be a serious understatement, given what he is charged with.
When the Guardia Civil went around to his home to arrest him, they found a bit of an arsenal: four shotguns, a large calibre hunting rifle and a revolver. For this reason, as well, he will have his gun licence withdrawn.

Patrick, if they have a license they can legally have them. Hunting or clays.
The revolver too if licenced but that is usually target shooting, but needs a safe for it.
A hunting rifle, I can understand. Shotguns and a revolver… Robbing banks only. Jail time?
