Eva María Moreno Medina won First Prize in the IX Concurso de Fotografía Nino Rodríguez Barbero – Mi pequeño paraíso.
This ninth edition of the yearly photo competition, aimed at promoting the picturesque nature of the village, had eleven competitors participating.
The Mayor of Almuñécar and the First Councillor for La Herradura were at the presentation of the winning photograph and the awarding of 700 (not-to-be-sniffed-at) euros to Eva María.
All the photos entered will be on display, together with those of Nino Rodríguez Barbero (after whom the competition is named) in the Sala Pepe Gámez in the Centro Cívico.
Besides the 700 euracos, Eva also received a trophy. The Second Prize was worth 200 euros and was awarded to María Luisa González Montoro. Lastly, the Third Prize worth 100 euros went to Maria Dolores Quintana Rodríguez from Nerja.
The rest just got a good slapping for wasting everybody’s time… just joking
