A middle-aged woman in Motril was knocked senseless by a door swung round by the wind.
This happened around 17.45h, yesterday in a chiringuito on Playa Pelaíllo, which is an alternative name for Playa de Poniente.
The victim required medical attention owing to the blow to her head so she was taken to Hospital Santa Ana in Motril to undergo tests.
Officers belonging to the Policía Local and First-Aid trained, beach staff cared for the woman until paramedics arrived with the ambulance to transfer her to hospital.
