Did you know that in the whole of Andalucía Motril is the municipality where the price per sq/m on building plots has risen the most; a colossal 20.2%?
Motril is followed by Algeciras, Málaga (city), the Costa del Sol and Manilva, according to a survey carried out by the nationwide company, Tinsa, based on the statistics of 250 municipalities.
Furthermore, Motril, with its 20.2% increase per sq/m holds the first place in the whole of Spain, as well, ahead of such destinations as the Balearic Island (Manacor, Ses Salines, Llucmajor, Es Mercadal and Campos) and the Comunidad Valenciana (Canet d’En Berenguer, Sagunto, Meliana and L’ Alfàs del Pi).
Forgetting about percentage rise for a moment, let’s look at the actual price per sq/m during the first quarter of this year in Motril, which was 1,307 euros, on average.
We should remember that just because Motril has the highest percentile increase, it doesn’t mean that it has the highest sq/m price on the Costa Tropical. In Almuñécar-La Herradura, where the percentile increase was 4.8%, the average price per sq/m is 1,473 euros. As for Salobreña, its average price per sq/m is 1,226 euros and Gualchos-Castell, 1,121 euros.
The average price on a national level for a square metre on a building plot is 1,580 euros, whereas the average for the Costa Tropical is 1,282 euros and 1,203 for the province.
