What do you do if the police are looking for you and you want to pass unperceived? Drive dangerously, of course! At least someone thought it was a good idea.
The Guardia Civil ended up arresting a young man, no stranger to the police, from the Guadix area. They had just seen a driver committing a driving offence at the entrance to the city and had signalled for him to pull over.
However, he was not keen on the idea and sped off. Doing this is a sure way of getting traffic officers’ interest aroused, so they chased him into the city centre.
In his attempts to shake off the patrol car, he “drove in such a manner as to put in danger the lives of those he encountered,” read the police report.
According to the police report, he ignored all road signs, driving instead the wrong way up one-way streets. This eventually led to his hitting another car head on. Fortunately, the impact only damaged the cars and caused no injuries to those in either vehicle.
At this point he abandoned the car and made off on foot but he was soon stopped and arrested. They checked his ID, and discovered that there was an arrest warrant out on him for his immediate incarceration.
He was also driving without a valid licence as he had lost all his points on it previously.

Good question ????.
Are people covered on this, without being penalised by their insurance companies? Or would you have to chase this twit in the courts?
