There is to be a Bridge tournament held at Hotel Arrayanes on Cotobro Playa, Almuñécar, on Saturday 17th of June, starting at 15.00h

In 2005, the Bridge players at clubs in Nerja and in Almunecar/La Herradura decided to initiate an annual teams competition between the players residing in the towns, to be played in alternate years in each area.

The trophy to be presented to the winning team and held for that year was purchased by means of a donation given by the Seaside Gazette newspaper.

The annual competition has been very successful in providing an afternoon of friendly competition followed by refreshments and social contact.

With the exception of the Covid years the event has been held without a break and this year it is the turn of the Almunecar Bridge Club to host the event, which will be held at the Hotel Arrayanes on Cotobro Playa on Saturday 17th of June, starting at 15.00h and ending with a dinner in the Hotel’s garden at 20.00h.

The format for the competition this year will be Pairs, with the winning team being the Club with the highest score, and several additional prizes will be awarded.
