Yesterday saw a dead mammal washed up onto one of Motril's beaches.
The carcass was found on Playa de Poniente but according to the Policía Local they could only specify that it was a “land mammal.”
A specialised company was called in to remove the animal, whose state of decomposition had made it difficult to identify. However, given that it had hooves and judging by its size, it was more than likely a bovine calf or even a large goat.
As the Policía had posted this discovery on their social media page, most comments inclined to it having been a mountain goat.
Editorial comment: admittedly, I look a bit like that when I get up in the morning, however, I wasn’t on the beach yesterday.
