Following fire-fighting drill in Insta (Málaga) today sees Infoca pitching itself against a real-life situation in Güejar Sierra.
The fire was reported a little before 14.00h in the area of the municipality known as the Cortijo Fuente los Morales.
At the time of writing, Infoca is using a semi-heavy helicopter and two, single-engine aircraft that have to load water at the airstrip, unlike the twin-engine Canadair that scoops from reservoirs and the sea.
On the ground there is one fire engine and two fire-fighting squads. Strong winds are not helping the efforts of the fire fighters

Doh. I said a smidgen. Not the Noah’s ark type. !!
Yet another accidental fire or just bad luck? Well, we may get a smidgen of rain this weekend, but not enough and a tad late!
