Starting on Friday the 31st of last month, those interested can consult the plans for the new PGOU via the municipal webpage, www.almunecar.es.

Then, from Monday the 3rd during a period of 45 days, anybody can consult the plans in person in the Concejalía de Urbanismo within the Town Hall from Monday to Friday between 09.00h and 14.00h.

The plan envisages 4,000 new dwellings, of which 1,500 will be government-subsidised housing (VPOs). Another component is the development of La Sandovala, which is the vega behind the San Cristóbal Mercandona, making it into a park with a Conference Centre next to it.

There will be quite a few changes in the Barrio San Sebastián area because between Río Seco and the Santa Cruz junior school and Al-Ándalus high school there will be sports facilities and a new fairground, as well as much of the planned housing.
