Electoral promises are coming thick and fast and towns are turned upside down with road works as municipal elections approach!

So, is it any suprise that there is news on a development above one the coves under Las Palomas? The resort is a luxury apartment-cum-hotel complex, Mar Delux, built just 900 metres from the said coves and consisting of 30 tourist apartments of 200 sq/m each.

Construction on the 8,000 sq/m project has been announced to start at the end of the year or the beginning of the next and should be concluded within 18 months. The project has a budget of eight-million euros. The Developer behind it is Juan Ruiz Díaz who, together with architect, Antonio Rodríguez Rufino, designed the complex.

Of course, the Mayor, Juan Jose Ruiz Joya and First Councillor for La Herradura, Daniel Barbero, were there to present the project, who expressed their gratitude to Sr. Ruiz Díaz and Sr. Rodríguez Rufino.

The said developer is also behind 34 luxury villas on Punta de La Mona and finally, it appears that the hotel group, Fuerte Hoteles, has managed to get their hotel on La Herradura beach going again, after years of a bureacratically imposed coma.
