A person was seriously injured in a fall on Sierra nevada this morning.
The accident was phoned in at 10.30h after two climbers took a fall on the north face of the Pico de Mulhacén.
The second climber, who was only slightly injured, made the call and a Guardia Civil helicopter soon arrived to take his badly injured, climbing companion to Hospital Virgen de las Nieves in the city of Granada.
The second climber had to wait at the scene of the accident for the chopper with the Grupo de Montaña rescue team to return for him.
There is no further information as to the nationality or age of the victims.
