Four people were injured on Saturday in a multi-vehicle accident on the Granada ringroad, then on Wednesday a lorry shed its load on the A-92.
The accident occurred on KM point 15 on the GR-30 around 11.30h. Three women, aged 22, 25 and 45, together with a young man aged 24, were rushed to the Hospital Clínico San Cecilio to be treated.
The fire service was needed to cut one victim out of the wreckage of one of the cars, whilst the Guardia Civil controlled the traffic until normal circulation could be restored.
Then, at 09.40h yesterday morning, a lorry carrying barrels of beer shed its load on the A-9. This happened within the municipality of Pulianas.
The barrels, some of which ruptured, were flung far and wide with some even making their way onto the oncoming lanes on the other side of the dividing barrier.
Again, the traffic police were called in to shut down the autovía whilst the affected lanes were cleared, using a snow plough to push them off the tarmac to the hard shoulder where they could be retrieved.
