A woman, resident of Armilla, was attacked by two Rottweilers which required five days in hospital, one of which was in the ICU in Granada.
The 36-year-old victim is suffering from a facial paralysis, which should disappear with time, but not the scars as her face was badly bitten.
At the time she was with her husband and 5-year-old daughter, both of whom were also bitten although their injuries are not as serious. Quite another thing will be the lasting psychological scars left after seeing her mother attacked by two ferocious dogs.
The mother had acted to defend her daughter as the two dogs were trying to drag the child into their owner’s house.
The family had been walking past the house (the front door was open) when the two dogs shot out and bit the little girl on the arm and began dragging her towards the door.
The parents reacted immediately. Both parents sprang to her defence, one of which attacked the mother and the other the father, who was trying to hold the child out of their reach. Frustrated, the second dog joined the first in its attack upon the woman. Finally, the father managed to beat them off.
Armilla Town Hall is also presenting a case against the dog owner, as are the victims. The Guardia Civil have confiscated the dogs, which will probably be put down
The attack occurred on Friday between 20.00h and 20.30h in the Plaza de España in Armilla.

Dog attacks seem to be rare. The dog will normally not attack for no reason. But some owners are not that great at treating them. I hope the victims recover well.
