The Mayor of Almuñécar, Juan José Ruiz Joya, has announced that they commissioned a survey to see how happy Almuñéqueros are with their town.
The survey, which came back is 130 pages long and was compiled by the company Dialoga, had some good points and bad ones, as far as the Mayor is concerned, with the feedback on how he is running the show.
More than 50% of residents consider that his administration is doing a good job. In fact, more than 60% of those questioned consider that, along general lines, the town is in a better shape now, in 2022 than three years ago. Obviously, the Mayor is pleased with this.
One of the questions asked in the survey was where do residents feel that Almuñécar will be a further three years down the line. Again, over 50% said that it would be “better or much better” than now.
According to the report, the Tourism Board receives most positive ratings with 7.39 out of 10, followed by the Department of Culture and the Sports Board.
Editorial comment: no mention of any criticism or bad marks received was included in this press release. Furthermore, with municipal elections just next year, is this just another way for the governing party to get indications of what to work on for the elections, paid with municipal funds, rather than party ones?
As to the question, where will we be in three years time, people could opt for “much better” if they believed that he would lose the elections next year. Furthermore, vague terms like “over 50%” could cover results like 51%, meaning that just under half do not approve of his labour.
