A woman on an electric scooter was hit by a bus in Peligros just before eight in the morning on the last Wednesday of September and was seriously injured.

The accident happened on the roundabout where the Cepsa gasolinera is. The Policía Local were the first to arrive at the scene at 07.55h but the Guardia Civil (an Atestados unit) soon arrived as well and took over handling the situation.

It is not known who caused the accident but the result was that the bus ran over her legs, requiring her immediate transfer by ambulance to an ICU in the Hospital Traumatologia in the centre of Granada.

The accident also caused a tail back onto the autovía with the Policía Local having their work cut out for them, directing the traffic during the morning rush hour.
