The Agencia Española de Medicamentos y Productos Sanitarios ( AEMPS) has issued a warning over a hypertension drug called Enalapril, marketed by Alter S.A.
AEMPS found that after testing a batch of this product it was found that the results produced were “outside the specifications of the test evaluations.”
The batch number is 499R Enalapril Alter 20mg EFG has a use-by date of 31st of July, 2023. Pharmacies (chemists) have been asked to return any packets to the laboratory. If you have some belonging to this batch, to be on the safe side, don’t take them.
This is the second time that Enalapril batches have been withdrawn from the market. The last time was in June this year over batch P575 Enalapril/Hidroclorotiazida Stada with a use by date of the 31st of August, 2023.
Don’t take them if you don’t want testicles blasting out of your trouser bottoms …and that’s just the women! just joking!!
