There was a head-on collision between two cars on the N-340 next to the Barranco del Cambrón bridge, about 200 metres from the Hotel-Salobreña junction.
According the the 112 call centre, the accident took place just before eight on Sunday morning. The cause behind the accident is being investigated.
The emergency call centre alerted the Motril fire service, which was needed to free the victims from their respective vehicles. Ambulances and the Guardia Civil were also sent to the scene, the latter to control the traffic.
The two injured people; a man aged 30 and a woman aged 31, were taken to Hospital Santa Ana in Motril and treated for unspecified injuries

While of course I’m sorry these two people have had this incident. It is like most RTAs down to the above reasons. Not just Sundays of course.
Don’t worry I have had a few frightening experiences in trying to overtake vehicles in a juddering ambulance.
