Bye Bye Vox Salobreña

Just days after a law court ruled the Vox Primaries null & void, the Provincial Chairman has resigned for "personal motives," as has controversial figure, Macarena Olona.

SAL Vox Candidates Leave PoliticsThe said Head, is none other than Salobreñero Manuel Martin, belonging to the most influencial family in town (owners of Hotel Salobreña and the Caleta sugar factory, as well as the rum factory).

This resignation was quickly followed by the controversial figure of Macarena Olona, an ex-MP in the Central Government who had resigned from that post to be slotted into Salobreña and register as a resident in order to run as the Vox candidate for the Junta de Andalucía regional elections.

In the meantime, the Comité Ejecutivo Nacional (CEN) has assigned a caretaker Provincial Chairman, Ángel Luis Onoratto.

Macarena Olona says that she has resigned and is leaving politics because of personal, health reasons. Whether she will be moving out of Salobreña now that the empadronamiento is not needed to justify her presence in Andalusian politics, is another matter, of course. However, after an interlude out of the political limelights one wonders if she will suddenly announce that she is returning for a job on a national level in Madrid.

Lastly, not only are the primaries no longer valid, because three people running as candidates were removed from the running under suspicious circumstance, but also Vox has to pay the three party members who were unfairly removed from the running a total of 72,000 euros.

Warren. Which part of Spain is not a little dodgy. Go back a few years and mayor’s were coining it in. Rent a house or flat. Cash only. Build a place. Grease a few palms.goes on the world over.
I’d avoid drinking at Salobrina bar for a bit.
