Starting Thursday and concluding on Sunday La Herradura will have its yearly Festival de Títeres (puppet-show festival).
This is the 24th year that the village has hosted this event for children and this year four theatre companies will provide a puppet play, as well as a puppet-show workshop. These theatre companies are not only well known in Andalucia, but also the whole of Spain,
As always the events will be held on the Plaza de la Independencia in the evening when the heat has gone out of he day at 10 in the evening.
The thing is that many of the parents who will take their toddlers to the puppet show, were children themselves when the festival first began over 20 years go who saw them themselves when their own parents took them.
The XXIV Festival de Títeres is an open air event so there is no entrance fee to pay, with the opening play entitled Little Red Riding Hood. Friday will be the Three Little Pigs, the other two shows are about the adventures of a Spanish character, created in 1959, called Peneque El Valiente”.
