La Herradura's Mercado Gourmet will soon be the first on the Costa Tropical, which also has included a Centro de Interpretación Turística.

The Board of Tourism belonging to theJunta de Andalucía provided three quarters of the funds for this project; the Junta put 150,000 euros and the municipal coffers supplied the remaining 50,000 euros.

The Town Council has put up to tender the three public areas for private use for small eating businesses within the gourmet section. They will be for 10-year leases starting from the day that the contract is signed.

There will also be a monthly rent to pay that is described as “minimal.” by the Town Hall: Bar-Area One has a rent of 306.06 euros a month, Bar-Area Two has a rent of 284.93 euros and Bar-Area Three, 290.71 euros a month.
