Almuñécar Town Council has awarded a contract for the tarmacking of the Cuesta del Forestal so as to complete the process along Camino de Río Seco.
The contract went to Viales Progreso with a budget of 80,000 euros and should take two months to complete, as it comprises of 420 lineal metres along the said track, connecting with the Vereda de Cordovilla.
This will mean that all eight kilometres of Camino de Río Seco has been converted to a tarmacked surface.
This section was fundamental in the completion of the entire Camino de Río Seco and therefore for communication with the rural hinterland areas of the municipality,· explained the Councillor for Agriculture and the Environment, Luis Aragón.
He finished by pointing out that it was very important for non-irrigated and irrigated agricultural land, as well as for the residents in these areas.
