There's not much news available on the incident at the moment but there was a flat fire in Motril yesterday afternoon.
The fire was on Calle Fray Vicente Pinilla and Policía Local carried out a temporary evacuation of next-door neighbours whilst Motril-based, fire personnel dealt with the blaze.
The fire, which was on the top floor of a 3-storey building, produced quite a lot of dense black smoke.
Fortunately, nobody was hurt and police and fire-service investigators are now looking into the possible cause of the fire.

Different fire I think. This was leaving Salobrena. Between the Rio and Salobrena. Second field row away from road.
Patrick: I saw it coming down – some idiot was burning branches on irrigated vega land, close to the Ron Montero factory. Lots of smoke but just a bonfire.
We also had a fire in the Campo area by the Salobrena side of the N344. Fire engine I guess from Motril wizzed by at about 1500.
