Fancy yourself a Van Gogh? Got a spare moment tomorrow and live in Salobreña? Why not put your name down for splashing a lick of paint around the old Town Hall Square?
The Asociación de Vecinos del Casco Antiguo de Salobreña has decided that the said square, as well as the rest of the old town, could do with some TLC, especially after the calima episodes.
Therefore, tomorrow members of the association will meet up to paint public areas a good, old-fashion white.
They wouldn’t mind a hand, either, which is where you with your painting skills and free time are invited to get stuck in, too.
If you’re interested, be outside the Radio Salobreña building on Sunday at 09.00h. Once there you’ll be marshalled into task groups, some will be shot if they forget to bring a paintbrush… Just joking because painting material will be provided
One of the assocation membes, Pedro Navarro, pointed out that they will only do low walls so no work up a ladder will be necessary.
