Inland Water Park Closes

Aquaola water park, not far from the city of Granada, has closed down after 36 years, a victim of the economic crisis and the pandemic, health restrictions.

GRA Aquaola Water ParkIt was on the 10th of July, 1986 that the Parque Acuático Aquaola in Cenes de la Vega (a favourite leisure option for Los Granadinos) opened its doors for the first time.

In 1986 there were only three water parks in the whole of Spain.

The press release stated: “we thank everybody that has visited us over these thirty-six years, as well as the Cenes de la Vega Town Hall and the Junta de Andalucía, who have provided services over the years to ensure safety in the park.”
