The company that is now running Almuñécar's Blue Zones is installing the new parking-ticket machines that require users to enter their number-plate details.
The company has its office at Avenida de Europa 26 (in front of Hotel Carmen). It also has a webpage: www.oraalmunecar.com, where you can find information about the company and the Blue-Zone areas in Almuñécar and La Herradura.
Finally, you can email them at info@iberpark.es and oraalmunecar@gmail.com.
The office is open 09.00h to 14.00h, which is when their phone is manned: 610 449 545. However, there is another number where they can be reached after office hours: 697 591 293.
If you want to download their parking app, the one to look for is parkinglibre, which will allow you to pay your parking fee via your phone.
As for the old machines, the company that owns them (the company that had the lease until now) will start removing them next week.
Editorial comment: having to enter your number-plate details will effectively stop people handing their ticket to somebody else if there is time left on it. How sneaky is that?
