The Guardia Civil arrested a driver after finding a semi-nude man clinging to the back of his van.

The man was hanging on to the back door and roof of the van, gesticulating at other road users, whilst the vehicle was moving at a considerable speed.

This occurred on the A-5 around 17.15h on a day at the beginning of the month between the municipalities of Navalcarnero and Móstoles (Madrid), with a distance of some 12 kilometres.

The police consider that not only was he putting his own life at risk, but also that of other drivers who were seriously distracted by his antics.

The 39-year-old driver of the van was arrested for dangerous driving, transporting passengers in an irregular manner and using a mobile phone whilst driving.

The passenger, also aged 39, was arrested and charged with breaking the Highway Code by creating a risk for other road users.
