Plácido Domingo Refund

Motril Councillor for Culture, Miguel Ángel Muñoz Pino, announced yesterday what steps to take to obtain a refund for the Plácido Domingo concert.

MOT Placido DomingoThe said concert was planned for the 26th of March in the Plaza de Toros but owing to the calima and problems with infrastructure it is now cancelled rather than postponed.

The procedure to get your money back is to do it through the municipal web page, sede.motril.es, clicking on the word entradas, which will take you to a form to fill out. We tried the above URL but it comes back a bit iffy.

Once you’re on the form page, you have two options; opting for physically turning up to claim your refund or continuing with the online method.

If you opt for the former, you download the form, print it out and take it to the registro in Motril. If you opt for the latter, you’ll need a digital signature to complete the form.

In both cases, you’ll need to present your entrance ticket (the original if you’re taking it around, personally) or a scanned copy, if you’re doing it online. You’ll also need a document from your bank to state that the account that you’re giving for the refund is yours – Caja Rural charges you six euros for this when it should be completely free but that’s Spanish banks for you.

There’s also an email address: info.entradas@motril.es and two telephone numbers: 958 838 302 y 958 838 303 if you have any doubts about how to get your money back.

Councillor Miguel Ángel Muñoz says that it is important that all funds are returned because his department is working on being able to offer a new date but for the moment it is not possible as the opera singer is on a tour, appearing in Sevilla and Jerez, as well as international venues such as Versailles, making it impossible to squeeze Motril in.
