There was a hold up at knife point in Motril on Friday night but a witness ran after and caught the culprit, unintimidated by the knife.
The witness saw the 44-year-old man running out of the shop and saw the shop assistant almost paralysed with fear but was able to tell him what had happened.
So, without thinking about it twice, he ran after him and caught up, which is when the knifeman turned and threatened him with it.
A struggle ensued and ended with the witness pining the man to the ground and retaining him until the Policía Nacional arrived.
The police arrested him and took him to the police holding cells in the police station, but not before returning the stolen cash from the shop cash register. The culprit freely admitted that it was him, but that there had been a mistake…
