Guardia Civil stopped a couple on the N-340 where it passes through the municipality in Almuñécar and found both cocaine and heroine.

The police check point  at kilometre point 319 pulled over the 49-year-old, male driver and found that  he was driving without a valid licence, for which he faces a hefty fine.

The woman who was accompanying him was  getting more and more nervious. She asked the police if she could get out of the vehicle but instead of letting her do so, they brought in a sniffer dog in order to search the car.

However, the dog, which has the name of Júper, was instantly drawn to the woman. So, an officer searched her and found 22 doses of cocaine and one of heroine, as well as 220 euros in cash that presumible was the takings of small-time drug peddling.

Both the man and woman were arrested and taken to the Almuñécar Guardia Civil post.
