Today's articles are both drug-related, as the Guardia Civil also arrested a young man in La Herradura after he was stopped at a drugs-control point.

We say that it is a drugs-related day because if you haven’t read the other article for today yet, it involved a Colombian, drug baron who was arrested in Motril and faces extradition.

Back to the man arrested in La Herradura, which took place in the afternoon of the 6th of this month when his car was stopped by the police. He had a passenger with him.

One of the two threw a joint out of the window as soon as they saw the police, control point. The officers saw this and also noted that he was reaching around behind him.

Once the car had reached them and stopped, the officers established the identity of both men and also located the joint that had been thrown out of the car.

When they frisked the one who had jettisoned the joint, they found a belt comprising of 15 small bags containing marihuana and hashish; each one was marked “10 euros” or “5 euros,” depending on which of the two drugs it contained.

The car also contained another, seven, small bags in one of the door compartments; again marked with their individual price.

The one that was found with the drugs on him stated that all of it was his and that his companion had only come along to smoke a joint.
