This Sunday, as it is the second Sunday of the month, will see the eco-produce market held within the Salobreña Mercado Municipal.
This market event is organised by the neighbourhood association, Cal y Caña, with the collaboration of the Red Agroecológica de Granada and the Town Hall.
The stalls will be open from 09.00h to 14.00h where you can find not only ecologically cultivated fruit and vegetables, grown locally, but also wines, cheese, certified ecological cosmetics and health products for women.
In fact, everything sold in the Ecomercado has official ecological certificates, whether it’s fruit, cosmetics or cheese, for example.
The Salobreña Ecomercado is the only one in the area (comarca). The other ones within the province are both in Granada and have been running some years, both of which are organised by the Red Agroecológica de Granada.
On Sunday there will also be live music and a raffle with a basket of ecological products – you only need to have bought something to enter into the raffle.
There is also a workshop where you can learn to make Christmas candles using recycled cooking oil.
