There was a traffic accident yesterday on the N-340 where it passes through the Motril dependency of Carchuna.

The emergency, call-centre, 112, received an alert at 07.00h reporting a multiple collision next to the roundabout that gives access to the A-7 autovía.

According to the Policía Local, there were three vehicles involved, leaving two people injured who were taken to Hospital Santa Ana in Motril.

Two of the three vehicles were involved in a frontal collision and the third was unable to avoid hitting them.

The Motril fire service was despatched as the Guardia Civil, who were first on the scene, reported that a woman was trapped in one of the cars, but the officers themselves were quickly able to remove her from the wreckage.
