According to the police, the two girls set fire to her hair as well as shaving a part of her scalp whist recording their feat in a video in their hometown of Conil (Cádiz).

They also took photos of their victim whilst they laughed at her and ridiculed their victim before posting the lot on social media for their friends.

It was the Conil Policía Local who were the first to come across the online video footage, which they brought to the attention of the Guardia Civil. The Guardia Civil sent officers to Conil to investigate, which lead to the identification of the two teenagers.

The girls were then handed over to the Public Prosecutor for the Minors Court before being released to their parents.

Editorial comment: what is there to say other besides their being nasty pieces of work. Furthermore, they are so dim as to post evidence of their misdeeds on social media, so great is the attraction of social media ‘fame.’ Lastly, it is the aggressor not the victim who is mentally challenged in this case.
