The last known owner is Dan Snyder, who owns the Washington Redskins football team… and when we say football, we mean colonial rugby for body-armour junkies.

Whoever the owner is, he or she is keen on sports as the ‘Ritz in a Puddle’ also has areas for basketball, volleyball and football. Oh, and there is a cinema whose height occupies two decks for the less energetic on board.

Perhaps with less gelt but more taste was the three-masted schooner, built in 1918 and now under a Polish flag, that glided into the same bay in a stately manner a week or so ago.
