The rain-drainage system on Salobreña's trading estate needs a good overhaul and thanks to a grant, it will get it.

Yes, 96,000 reckless euros could be winging their way to the Salobreña to make the Polígono La Gasolinera less soggy!

The grant, which will come from the Provincial Council, was actually requested in December 2018 so nobody can accuse the said council of acute alacrity.

The Mayor, María Eugenia Rufino, reassured Los Salobreñeros that all the work would be covered by the grant and nothing would need to come out of their pockets.

The Provincial Council will be the entity that awards the contract and will be responsible for the renovation work getting done on time and efficiently.

So, what are they getting on the trading estate? The present rain-drainage system will be reworked to allow it to evacuate a greater amount of water… hopefully not onto the Pontanilla!

Or course, all this digging up of streets will end with renovated surfaces, such as paving etc.
