This coming Monday, residents of Salobreña will have a chance to donate blood at the Town Hall.
Yes, the Town Hall already gets enough blood out of you in the form of taxes, but this is for the Centro Regional de Transfusión Sanguínea. Anyway, you will be able to donate much needed blood between 17.00h and 21.00h.
Each time the mobile unit comes round they are always impressed by the amount of donors there are in Salobreña; something that they express to the Local Board of Donors.
In fact, last time they were in Salobreña, which was on the 15th of February, 144 volunteers stepped forward to give blood.
On the last occasion no plasma donations were taken: a plasma donation requires a commitment both in the amount of time for each donation and the frequency of donation. Typically, it takes between one and three hours to donate source plasma, whereas whole blood donation takes less time—under 30 minutes
