Vaccine Target: July

The Junta says that it will have vaccinated 89% of the population of Andalucía (from 16 and over) by the time that july is over.

AND Mass VaccinationsThey say that they will achieve this using Pfizer, Moderna or AstraZeneca, or with the single-dose vaccine, Janssen.

This is the objective of the Junta’s Un millón por Semana vaccination campaign. On the 11th of May, the Minister for Health & Families explained the strategy, which will run seven days a week.

This will continue as long as it takes and will rely on 911 teams operating in 545 vaccination points.

It’s all based on the amount of vaccines that Andalucía expects to receive starting this month. The target between the 3rd and the 30th of this month is 2,236,729 people vaccinated, or put another way, 31.8%. We’re also talking about people having received both injections.

The figure wil rise up to 4,369,140 during the month of June; between the 31st of May and the 4th of July, to be precise. That will be equal to 62.1% of the population from 16 and older.

Between the 5th of July and the 1st of August the total of 6,256,836 persons, representing 89% will have been completely vaccinated.

Taking Andalucía’s population; adults, adolescents and children, this last figure represents 70% of the entire population – whereas the 89% figure represents the population with below 16s not included.
