This building site for 35 apartments on Avenida del Mediterráneo had been progressing rapidly since work began in the middle of last summer but things have slowed because the company is “evaluating the course of the pandemic.”
The original idea was to do it in two phases but after a deal was struck with the Town Hall it was agreed to develop it in one single phase consisting of the full 75 apartments but for the time being the two-phase project still stands.
Phase one consists of just 35 tourist flats that once complete will kick start the Second Phase consisting of the other 40 flats. At the moment, builders are padding out the concrete structure with brick walls.
The inauguration is set for next year because come this summer it will stand idle for five to six months. This will give the developers a chance to gauge how the pandemic is panning out.
