Nerja Caves Closed Again

NRJ Caves Close JA21Nerja Caves spent most of the time between their being inaugurated and the present day in full operation but now with Covid, things have changed.

For the third time since the pandemic struck in March last year, the installations have been forced to close down and will remain so until the 31st of January.

The foundation that manages both the Las Cuevas de Nerja and the Museo de Nerja took the decision owing to the evolution of the third wave which has been advancing more rapidly than the preceding ones.

Last year the caves were closed from the 14th of March until the 1st of June and then from the 10th of November to the 18th of December, cutting attendance figures by half compared with 2019.
