Regional PM, Juanma Moreno, announced yesterday that come Monday they would decide on whether to retighten restrictions based on recent contangion figures.
The Committee of Health Experts will deliberate over the increase to decide whether this increment requires restrictions and, if so, to what degree.
PM Moreno offered congratulations on the most recent data that reflect the number of people hospitalised had fallen to below 1,000 in Andalucía.
However, he warned that “we should not drop our guard,” adding, “The vaccination programme has begun with the best data possible, which is good news.”
Editorial comment: The figures that he is quoting belong to contagions from 10 days ago that are now making themselves present and cannot possibly reflect the affects of increased mobility from the 18th of this month. Nevertheless, what they do reflect is that the extra (illegal) mobility during the extended bank holiday at the beginning of the month has not had a disproportionate affect on the general situation in our region.
