The Spanish meteological institute, Aemet, has issued a weather warning along the Costa Tropical, both inland and off the coast.

Starting around midnight last night and ending around 17.00h later today the Granada coastal waters will experience waves of between three and five metres with winds on the Beaufort Wind Force Scale between Seven and Eight and occasionally Nine.

Along Granadinian coastal strip winds are expected to reach 80kph gusting in a westerly direction.

After 17.00h the wind will die down on land and the sea state will settle down to Beaufort Seven with waves of between two and three metres.

Summing up: probably not a good day for umbrella-display dancing teams.
