Junta To Increase Restrictions

AND Juanma Moreno NV20By Sunday, new restrictions could be announced for the following day, according to indications coming out of the Junta de Andalucía.

The regional PM, Juanma Moreno, announced yesterday that from Sunday the hostelry sector might be obliged to close even earlier in the day, meaning that bars and restaurants would have the new early closing times starting Monday.

However, this all depends on the meeting that he will have tomorrow afternoon with the board of health experts, where they will examine the efficiency of the measures already in place to see if they have been sufficient.

Moreno said in a TV interview that “mobility will have to be a little more curtailed.” This followed the news of 60 deaths for the second day running in Andalucía and an increase of 3,226 patients hospitalised.

For this reason, he said, they might have to “tighten the screw on citizen movement.” Asked if these extra measures will be region wide, he replied, “not necessarily.”

We shall just have to wait until tomorrow night to know if the closing times will be brought forward.
