The home for the elderly, San Luis in Motril, has 19 confimed cases of Covid 19; eight staff and eleven residents. However, at the moment, only one of them has needed to be hospitalised.
It was only Monday afternoon when the Mayor of Motril, Luisa García Chamorro, visited this home for the eldery or residencia de mayores, to announce the established protocol controlling outbreaks.
The Town Hall has now requested PCR testing for all staff and residents in such establishments within the municipality. In the meantime, those infected have been isolated and the installations disinfected.
The Acción Social deparment at the Town Hall has announced extra members for the auxilary nursing staff at Motril day centres.
