There was a bit of a disturbance this morning at the Policía Nacional police station that required the presence of the municipal fire service.

There is nothing official out on it yet but eye witnesses said that there seemed to have been a disturbance between a husband and wife inside the office where TIEs, Passports and DNIs are dealt with.

A man was led out in handcuffs but previous to this there was reportedly a problem concerning a cigarette lighter, which seems to have been connected to this man, and consequently necessitated the evacuation of the building and the presence of the fire service.

People were allowed back in after about 40 minutes and things returned to normal.
