The Mayor of Motril, owing to the increase in contagion figures in the municipality and province, will restrict access to the town-hall building.

The decision, which was made on the advice of a special commission brought into being to tackle the pandemic, will mean that residents will only be attended to at the Town Hall by appointment; i.e., you will have to ask for an appointment beforehand, therefore you cannot just turn up there expecting somebody to attend to you.

Mayor Luisa García Chamorro has also ordered extra disinfection precautions around town, pending the expected announcement this Friday from the Junta de Andalucía detailing extra restrictions that will be put in force.

She concluded that she would not hesitate to shut down all municipal facilities if the situation requires such measures.
