The Mayor of Salobreña, María Eugenia Rufino, announced that since the pandemia began, the Town Hall has issued 950 fines for infringements to the present health regulations.

The vast majority; i.e., 80% of them, were for not using one or using a mask incorrectly. Others have been for participating in botellones or hostelry establishments infringing safety distancing and closing times regulations.

For this reason she calls upon the residents of and visitors to, Salobreña to act responsibly when it comes to mask use: ·”we all have to obey the rules and use face masks in order to advance in the fight against the pandemic so that we can get back to normal as soon as possible.”
