Calle del Rosario in Salobreña, which has undergone extensive road works, reopened yesterday, at last. The bus service that covers that route will recommence as of this coming Monday.
This means that the road-work traffic lights that governed the Old-Town are no longer required.
The Councillor for Public Works and Maintenance, María José García, announced however that road works will recommence from the lower part of the street to Calle Fábrica Nueva, but that it wouldn’t start until September after the summer influx of visitors has passed.
She also thanked locals for their patience and pointed out that the conclusion of the work on Calle Rosario had been delayed by the pandemic.
